Holy crap Bob! Do you have any idea how big thm just got?! Good grief, he has a LOT of colors!

There are so many beautiful color varieties out there. I'm a sucker for penciled turkeys :) This is my Phil :) According to the experts on Porter's turkey color genetics 101 Facebook page, he is a penciled fall fire.

But those chicks will never re-join the flock and will stay with their turkey kids.

Not necessarily. I don't think I've ever had this issue. I always raise the turkeys with chicks. But, then again, the turkeys tend to get moved around with other brooders as they grow to fit in with the bigger sizes and then when they go outside, they're put in seperate pens.

Maybe that's what I've done wrong... I've kept the chicks with the turkeys up to 10 weeks and then integrate everyone into the main flock. The chickens have always stayed with the turkeys.

I am so excited a good friend and member here has found homes for my 4 draklings that Hatched here 10weeks or so ago. They will be going in twos to which makes me even feel much better! I love these boys and am so relieved they will be going to wonderful homes. Prayers answered. :)
