I am having to split mine up at the moment well for about another month actually so my Runner drake doesn't get any ideas about these young Runner girls. They can all see each other just can't get involved.

He's gorgeous. How do you keep your birds from going in the road or next door? I don't see any fencing.

@WannaBeHillBilly I totally understand the panzer references to your whit layers. My Pekin have been acting like little tanks. There's pretty fast going forward, good at clearing an area, but put a tight turn in there way... not so fast. Lol

I had the younger ducks in the front yard so I can keep an eye on them easier. Then the Pekin migrated up there. I was pretty resistant at first, but I did want them to be exposed to one another so after short stent of time I let the Pekin stay up front. As of right now, everything wants to stay near the pin.

In regards to keeping them out of the road the last couple days, I've just been outside with them a lot. I wasn't actually planning on integrating them all together until this weekend, and at that time they'd moving to the backyard. That's still the plan, but between being sick and having the kids I just not able to get the backyard ready for them during the week.

After this weekend though, they should all be in the backyard, and much more secure than they are now. Plus I won't have to go out in the front yard every 5 minutes to make sure everything's okay. The plan was never to really to use the front yard, but it happened... There's only two houses past us, and they're all aware of the birds being out here. Most of the time they stop and watch'em, but they're all pretty cautious as well.

Lol, after watching a few videos of Runners actually being used in the rice fields. I can't lie I have fascinated a few times about walking them around the neighborhood.

Oh I know mine would and the Buffs would be right there with them they think they are Runners too.
