No not really. I can't heat anything either.

I also have 8 chicks and a human hatchling in here too, so I'm hoping I just can't hear it over them...

You won't hear chirping until they internally pip. As long as they don't smell, I'd give them another day or two.

So I'm better prepared for this next hatching, at what day would you suggest starting to do that?

A lot of folks do it each time they candle. I run too many eggs to do it, but I'll be marking mine that didn't hatch today. There was only 16 yesterday and I know I've got some slow developers.
