I need help. This is what my baby ducks look like. Forgive me for posting on this I can’t fugure out how to post a question in the right place:

They were hatched at same time. One is thriving one won’t get up and I have to hand feed/water. Won’t clean itself. I gave it a bath before I took picture

Oh my word. I’d say something isn’t right with it internally.

What are you feeding them?

I'm sorry you are having trouble with your baby. I'm not very experienced with duckling problems, but we have a grat community here. Let's see if we can get someone with more experience to help.

Are you using any supplements at all? What are you feeding them and are you in the US?

I’d start you ducklings on a b complex. If in the USA got to TSC and get the liquid B complex in the cattle dept and start giving it to your duckling 1 ml daily the supplement will say injectable but you just peel off the foil and use a dropper to pull out the liquid. If your duckling is eating good and has a favorite treat put the liquid over it and feed so he gets full dose with out having it watered down. If not in the US and you can’t find the liquid get human b complex tablets and crush and put over a treat. This could be a niacin deficiency and the b complex works faster than plain niacin.

Okay folks, just double checking some info (got it from a turkey guy)...
Are the color of an egg passed on by the roo or the hen?

I was told both, but they mentioned "according to the chicken gurus" making me think they're not in the chicken guru clan.

I'm asking because the potential to make Olive Eggers down the road using a Maran Rooster over EE chickens

Both. Dark brown layer x blue egg layer = Olive Eggers.

Since EEs are a cross, most of the chicks will lay brown eggs
