I personally love Welsummer roosters. When my neighbor was in the hospital his free ranged during the day so the second they got let out they were at my house getting treats and just brightening my day. I think the hens were Brahmas but I am not sure. That is just what I was told. Anyway he is all better now and keeps them at home. I think he missed them since they were only going home at night to sleep and lay eggs. I miss them hanging out with me and the ducks all day. Rooster Cogburn is a honey and loves attention.Welsummers, they're not what I wanted, but I'm sure that won't matter soon.
That is so cuteOh I love the wellies!! Interesting tidbit...they're the Kellogg's corn flakes rooster! I have 2 Welsummer mixes that are olive eggers.
View attachment 1907003 One of my OEs...not been broody yet but she takes her dear sweet time getting out of the nest after laying.
Those Seramas are the cutest little things!Everyone got some free range time yesterday. Some of the loved it while some wanted the comforts of their hardware cloth lol. The only younger bird to not freak out was Peaches. She is such as sweet little lady. Even the General treated her as such. Actually speaking of General, he was really well behaved too. Not one single fight broke out.

He is quite the good looking fella, and those ladies... Is it rude to tell a hen she's got a plump butt? How about just saying...
