That is not unique, and they're is nothing purebred about it. She might be a nice person, but she is misleading people. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she is uneducated on the need, or was simply mislead herself. That being said RUN!

A white toe nail or tongue is a cull, and rather common but can still be purebred. White feathers is a mutt though.

That's like saying a black and white Peking duck is purebred. I mean, it might look cool kinda like Patti and Shaw's (Fake Ellen) Cayugas, it may even be unique looking, but it's not purebred. With three Cayuga though, that is expected over time, but it should not be present in Ayam Cemanis.

I've never bought birds from her.. she only sells roosters and I've already got 4 so no more for me!

I hope you don't think I was trying to be rude. I did a lot of research on that breed, and went through 20 breeders before I found one I was comfortable with. That being said, my Cockerel is a cull though you'd never be able to tell from his pictures. I could still sell him for a $100 and profit from him if I wanted to.

I know light brahmas are supposed to take two years to mature, but I must say I am pretty impressed with how fast they are growing still. At least frame wise they seem to grow very fast. Maybe the two-year quote is just on muscle density or something I don't understand. These guys are freaking amazing by the way. I would have to say this breed is easily in my top three favorites.

Thanks! I really thought I was going to need to rehome him for a while. He was turning in to quite the butthead. I was pretty sure he was going to try and fight Sully, but he didn't. He's actually calmed down a ton after introducing Sully and I'm liking Umbra much more now.

I absolutely LOVE Sully though. He's got a commanding presence but is not aggressive at all. The entire flock just seems happier after he got here.

Umbra = Iron fist
Sully = Iron presence.

I was so hoping my 2 young roos were going to be okay here. Until yesterday I had to bring one inside yesterday afternoon and treat his torn waddle and comb from fighting he was bloody and I didn't dare put him in the coop like that. I haven't seen them this morning and Missy is quiet so hopefully that is good news that everyone is just trying to survive instead of trying to prove who is the toughest.

I need to find a way to intorduce my cockerels, I'm planning on keeping the 3 roosters together, 1 of them is a silkie roo and he will accept being the lowest in the pecking order, the reds actually control the cockerels, even them being the same size. Hopefully my bantam cockerel will accept them, so far he hasn't but the younger ones are still only 8-9 weeks old so I'm gonna give them some time.
