Not sure what contest you are referring to, but typically on the first post has the allowed birds/photos. You could always ask the thread too, just be warned, there are some "forum etiquette nazis" (who have horrible etiquette btw) that might just refer you to post #1. The calendar thread was a great example of that. People got kinda nasty about posting ducks or other poultry pics even though there are a tons of ducks and other poultry here...

"The forum name is Backyard CHICKENS, not ducks" was my "favorite" answer I got. So I just don't bother with them now.

To answer your question I think #1&3 are best.

So I'm in the shower right now, yes with my phone. It's quite a beautiful day so I figured I would open the window while I was in here. Within less than two minutes the entire chicken flock is outside the window staring at me. AWKWARD!

The cool thing that I have not been able to observe yet until this right now, is most of the juvenile large fowl chicken have integrated with the adults. All of the adults and four out of the six juveniles are foraging together in about a 20-foot radius, including both roosters. ( not including any of the recently-acquired birds, they are in quarantine)
