I'm glad they were young to.. if they were, I seriously hope it wasn't the neighbors cat though, it is an option but a less likely option, still their though. I suspect it because that cat is huge, my chickens are BANTAMS and aren't even fully grown yet, about the size of a mallard... actually my mallard is smaller due to problems but she's what I call a tiny lil' thing. If it was a mink or fisher whatever it was attempted to break into the run, getting into the lav orps coop and pushing the board covering the run, leaving a bit of a gap. Thankfully it couldn't fit through :yesss:. It didn't go after my hens or ducks.
Im not that experienced with predators in regards to guessing what it was, but whatever it is, I hope you catch it.

I was just out talking with the flock, collected an egg in the shack, and then found an egg in the yard. I don't think the egg I found is a chicken though. It was found in the LF flock, and it was not under a tree. Closest tree branch is a good 15' away. Whatever it is, it's freaking adorable. The large egg in my hand is from Mrs Black, the Turken.

I've once have gotten a yolkless egg.. it was super tiny.

Toads are a "breed" I developed. I wanted a large bird that had survivability beyond a few months. My oldest is about 4 years old now.

The one on the right is a toad, the left a turkey..

The bird by the propane tank is a Bert. Bert's are male toads. The propane tank is a 20 pound one for reference..

Better pictures are on the toad raising thread.

 Toads! :lau :gigYou quack me up! :gig

I haven't had much success raising toads, however I've had a lot of success raising dinosaurs and penguins.
Btw, my oldest dinosaur is over 5 years old.

Something bad happened... went to lock in my lavender orpingtons and I found blood EVERYWHERE, muscovies were in their coops but THEY TO were beat up.. not bad but whatever it was obviously was scared of them because Lucky has blood on his bill. Orpingtons were all alive... moved to the pullet/guinea coop... half the chickens had been bitten somewhere and the guineas were the obsolete WORSE, my female guinea has a bear back so she had scratches ALL OVER HER, my 2 boys were bit on the butt taking some feathers off. The chickens were all bloody and the rooster also got bit in the butt... he could barely lay down :hit I think it's the neighbors cat.. I saw him up their today.. that huge fat cat.. :rant My cats have LEARNED not to touch our pets, these guys were on our property so the neighbors cat had NO reason to be on OUR property. Luckily I lost no chickens. :wee
Aww, I'm so sorry that happened! :hugs
I hope you are able to kill whatever is doing that to your birds. :hugs
