Are you prepared to spend a couple hundred bucks on him?

Also know you could spend the money and still lose him.

A vet might be the best chance for him, but know what it will cost you.

that means less money for the other birds feed and care.

And unless she/he is an Avian Vet they might just be guessing too..

Good luck whatever you do...

BTW. I still believe all dux are evil and attempting to control the minds of our weaker humans... by making them believe dux are not evil..
That's just the chickens getting to your head, my chickens have also told me to get rid of the ducks. I didn't listen though because the chickens are monsters  Just don't tell the guineas and chickens I said that. :bow. Vet cost is 45-65$ for checkup and fixing the infection.

Luck you! There is only one avian vet I've found around here and it's $150 just for a check up, extra if they actually do anything.
 wow, that price was for my farthest vet, not including medication, extra wrapping so a lot of extra would be added.. which is why it's my last option.. I'm still surprised I didn't see a core? I just read a thread and sometimes they come to the surface with an epsom salt bath and some kind of other medication, which I have and I used.

I wouldn't mind redoing it, since I know what to do now. I hate being new at things because I'm so slow at processing things in my head. :lau
Be leery of veterinary advice on here.

We all mean well... which is why I advocate zero tolerance for dux....

but we are the untrained uneducated blind leading the blind..

You need to do what you think is best, but I caution you against becoming overly confident and thinking you solved it.

The cores I have gotten out have been hard and greenish yellow..

Kendra, yes the core is the yellow gunky stuff. The reason Patti suggested continuing with the baths to ensure you've gotten it all.
Alright, The one already starting closing.. he has started walking on it (His good leg) so would that be a good sign? The other one is still stiff, seems he can't feel it..? Can I use betadine with it? I read someone else used it but I wasn't sure if it was safe or not?
