My county has a bunch of homeless, My brothers girlfriend went into the army, she was homeless but my parents took her and my brother in. That is an estimated guess, I don't see why people would lie in the house of god. And how is this topic related to dux?

Dux are behind everything evil...

I don’t think it is lying. It is just spreading an unverified fact. There are many “non-profits” that make lots of people rich off the generosity of good people. Not all of those have scruples.


I happen to work with a veterans group quite closely. And I belong to a large organization that does nothing but charity work.

I did not mean to insult you or say you were lying at all. That never crossed my mind. I knew you were just repeating a bad factoid.

Estimated guess, I'm near Harrisburg only being 1-2 hours away, when we do a feeding for the homeless the church we go to is almost an hour away itself, in a more crowded city.

Your figures here are correct, or pretty darn close..

We have over 1/2 million homeless in the USA..

People think about it this time of year.. which is good.., but they are homeless all year round. We actually stop giving in November and December because so many others do give.

We resume after the new year when people tend to forget the poor.

I do agree about some charities are making people rich I always look up any we are interested in supporting to see how much top ones are making I have never understood why anyone who is head of a charitable organization needs over 600,000 dollars a year to live on. Charity navigator is a good place to start.
