The Quack Shack

Kendra, regardless of what happens, you did your best. Nobody could expect anything more from you.

Hopefully he can see the vet and recover. Everyone here is on Team Olly right now.

Not long ago I put down a Turken pullet, she was one of my favorites. It wasn't a tough decision to make as I believe she was suffering. Following through with the action was the difficult part. If your dad is willing to do it, and it comes to it, you might want to let him do it. Dispatching an animal your attached to is harder than a nuisance animal. :hmm
Thanks Chris, I said if it comes down to that, do it when I'm not home. I have always found it hard, and had never had to put down an animal. Always a first for everything, I guess. I even know that taking him to the vet is a risk since it is already so bad. I'm just happy I got to put him into a good home before the time actually comes, if it needs to happen. I appreciate the help everyone has provided for both Olly and I.

She's is a cutie. A born lap chicken. Those 2 girls where an impulsive buy, well the breed was, but I'm happy to have them. Three buy wasn't impulsive at all. I drive 45 minutes to get there. ;)
What is she? I have 2 lavender orpingtons who are total love bugs, grew up in a cage for the first 6 months of there lives, when I saw the ad I only wanted to get the silkies but she said I can take 1 lavender, I ended up with 3. Lost one to lack of vitamins, the other 2 I managed to save and they are the sweetest chickens, eat out of your hand, sit in your lap and chase you around the yard!

She's an Eng Orp. I got 1 lavender and 1 jubilee. The lavender girl is very comfortable around humans and dogs. The jubilee girl is the opposite and still won't eat from my hand. The 2 girls are best friends though, so I'm sure she'll come around soon.
