Good morning, Bob. :highfive:
I've got a canning question for you. With the jams I made, once they cooled and set, is it okay to remove then from the fridge for pantry storage? There is a vacuum.
Chris, did you water bath seal them?
Good Morning!! Hope you all enjoy your day! Bob you don’t have to work? I guess some will be out today to buy the bargains I pass on that kind of “fun”
Unfortunately I do have to work today Patti, how are you today?

Then yes. When you waterbath can, there's no need to refrigerate until you open the jars. Truth be told a lot of folks put the hot jam in the jars and they seal fine.
morning all! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your family. I am back to work today unfortunately :sick
I'm right there with you, have a great day.

So I love Metal, music. I don't post much of it here because I do believe it's an acquired taste, one many people here have not acquired. That being said, I do believe most of the people here have a good appreciation for music in general. So today I'm going to share some metal, but more on the aspect of a child's musical ability.

Most of my favorite metal bands are actually from other countries. Half the time I can't understand the words in English oh, so another language doesn't bother me. I would have to say German and Swedish metal are my favorite in general. Today we're going to look at 2 covers of a Swedish band named Meshuggah.

This first is what I call a typical YouTube "cover guy." If you enjoy watching people play drums, there are a ton of "cover guys" to enjoy. This is Adam Gray performing Bleed. Pay attention to his feet. For those who have never played a double bass on the drums, it's difficult, LOTS and LOTS of leg stamina is required.

Now, not to downgrade what Adam Gray can do (I don't know this guy by the way) but check out this cover by Momo DeMonster, an 8 year old "cover guy." To me, watching facial expressions, this young boy is in more control and in a more peaceful state while doing it. Also, Momo's legs are not in the optimal position because of his height. Having your knees at 90° allows you to use your entire leg including your hips. The power for a double bass mostly comes from the upper leg. Momo doesn't have this advantage.

I get that he's young, and his muscles are still wonderfully usable where maybe some of ours are not anymore. But the first guy probably has more experience on the drums then the child has in life all together. To me, that's amazing. Even if it's not in metal, I hope this child continues to play music.
That's a little too much metal for me.
But. . I do admire those drummers. Some People tend to think just banging on drums would be easy. There's so much more to it.

Thanks Bob. I was following a guide, but it didn't actually talk about storage, more just about making the jam. As shin as I have a couple of empty jars, I'm making shine more.

I'm actually not much of a fruit jam fan, but I love pepper jams. Next batch will be more pepper based.
