@cra8ychix was nice enough to collect me some of her LF Silkie eggs. Yesterday her and her DH came over and hung out for a little bit and brought me the eggs. Out of 9 eggs I've got a pretty good chance of finally getting a broody or two.

They're not my favorite breed, but they have grown on me. They are Mary's favor breed though, and I would like to have broody girls hatch and tend the chicks. That's why I got Flip 'n Flop but they turned out to be boys. Plus they're bantams which I didn't know at the time. These are going to be full size birds.

Actually, I wasn't even sure there was a LF Silkie until I saw @cra8ychix birds. I was pretty confused about Silkie sizes.

Lol, @cra8ychix had head Pearl (guinea) over the phone before. Yesterday she got a first hand experience of what the squawking is actually like.

Not really. She's not mean, but she's definitely not like a companion bird. Besides the Silkie boys she's kind of a loner. She's also not picked on. It's like she's the the alpha to her own flock of 3.
