Kelpies and border collies have about the same drive. The only difference I see with them is the kelpies do better with the heat. Spud did irriversable ligament damage, and it took alot of disscussion with multiple vets on what to do. Once a ligament is torn, its never as strong as it was and can keep happening. Ligament surgery recovery involves 8wks restricted to small area (think 1metre square) and 6months before able to work again. For Spud, he would have went mad. He has way too much drive. So amputate was the next option and if anything he's even faster then he was before. Recovery was only 6weeks. He amazed the vets. It's like he's only had 3 legs his whole life.

Thanks! That’s good to know. I don’t think Kelpies are too common here but idk. Probably too much dog for me anyway. :lau

@Trimurtisan I'm doing a wellness check to make sure you haven't frozen over! Thats cold!!!
I'm doing well! Been a busy day. I'm not going to lie though, I did do as much work in the sun as I could. :)

I finally sold the Pekins! :celebrate
I also harvested the last 2 turkey. Collectivity it's going to help the feed bill quite a bit. Those are my largest consumers of the flock.

I took a chick feeder and commercial light hanger cables and made a hanging oyster shell feeder for the bantams.

This fitting has a spring loaded lock on it so I can lower the jar to fill it.

The hanger had a loop in it already....

I took some ¹/⁴" water line and made a "connector" for the loop to hang on.

Got stuck behind captain "should I do this" man tonight. There are only 2 lanes here. The green line is the center of the left lane. When he let off the brakes, there where no lights on at all... 🥴
