Good morning folks :frow

It seems the recommended hardware cloth size is ¹/4", but what are the drawbacks to using ¹/2"? My thought process is none of the predators who have effected me are smaller than ¹/2". Any ideas why I shouldn't use the ¹/2"?
Chris, I prefer 1/2" as it's typically a heavier gauge wire. I'm not sure 1/4" could keep a fox at bay.

Thanks Bob you too. Was going to ask with everyone staying at home is work still going on over there with the tornado clean up? And where are all the people staying that lost everything?
To the best of my knowledge, clean up is continuing. A combination of rentals and hotels for housing. I haven't been to Cookeville since the tornadoes came through, so haven't yet seen it with my own eyes. Lebanon, has some gruesome sites.

I use 1/2" on everything and have never had any issues. I can't imagine anything small enough getting in that could do any damage to the chickens. If a snake is getting in, they're eating him at that size, haha!

1/4 inch HWC seems to be more expensive, not as sturdy and a little more difficult to work with in my opinion.
