Yeah, that was pretty cheap. I just checked it again and it's up to $50 now which is still a good price.

Never mind, I'm calling malarkey. This is either an old, or just very wrong page... Obviously other breeds than Marans can be used. I kind of like the speckled look of the Welsummer OE. Again, obviously not a Marans.

You're correct, it's equally determined and inherited just as any other gene is, one copy from each parent.
