Man, I’ve got another chick down. I started corid since the only thing I can think of is cocci, but I may be too late. The chick was just laying in the brooder, unable to walk or hold her head up. Her neck jolts and twists back, but not like wry neck. Not really sure what I’m dealing with since I’ve never had cocci in my chicks. Am I on the right track here? Any other suggestions?

I didn't think ducks got cocci?

They're chicken chicks, the ducks aren't due for two weeks. I've never dealt with cocci before so I'm not sure what it is. We lost the first chick a few hours after arrival, I'm sure that was from shipping stress. This chick seemed fine since it got here last Thursday, but was on death's doorstep when I walked in this afternoon. About an hour after I found her, she passed away. All the other chicks seem fine, but I put Corid in their water just in case. I don't want to lose more chicks if I can help it. And of course both the ones that passed were my sexed females, not the straight runs. 😩

Ok my dh is calling these Frankenducklings. They are 11days old. Have I forgotten how big they get or are these huge. 20200414_182657.jpg That's a 20 chick warmer they have lost interest in. 48 last night and they never used it. I brought them in tonight. Going through a gallon of starter a day.
