:frow Good morning Kelsey, try to have a great day :hugs
Thank you!! Going to try to get some stuff done or maybe work outside or whatever while it’s sunny. Supposed to get rainy/stormy this afternoon so I figured since I’m up I’d just stay up haha

Oddly the killing part itself wasn’t that bad, maybe because I knew it had to be done, but I just mostly feel bad it got messed up the first time. :/

Hey guys. Sorry for the radio silence. Last year, Easter fell on the 21st, and is the day Timmy was found dead. So basically from Easter I've been having a hard time emotionally. Today is his actual anniversary, and I've never felt so lonely.

I'll be letting Timmy go this evening. I know time heals all, but sometimes those wounds are pretty deep and time just can't move fast enough. There's a wine that he and I discovered together. For about 8 years it was the only wine we'd drink and was the last drink I shared with him. I don't even know the name of it. We always just called it "47# Cock" as there is a picture of a 47# rooster on the label. Tonight I'll crack open a few bottles, wallow, cry and let Timmy know it's time to move on. My last toast so to say. I miss him so much, but I can keep going on like this.

Besides driving myself nuts on my down time, I've been staying extremity busy in an effort to stay distracted. I built another indoor brooder. So there is now a 3'x8', 3'x6', & 4'x4' brooders in the shack. I scooped a dozen Turken from a local farm the other day. All the babies are doing great. I've fallen in love with the Crevecoeur and "Malay."

I've finally thinned my duck flick out to mostly Runners. There are a few Khaki/Rouen that are around 6 weeks old that I am growing out for the time, but I also have about 12 week old Runners now too. The Ancona are completely gone though. Down to 7 adults now... Feels strange... I can't wait for these to grow out.

Anywho I hope you're all doing good. I love and miss ya faces.

So as it turns out, I DO have Liege Fighter cockerels.

As of today, they are starting to look like boys. That took a LONG time. I was assuming they would be like my ko shamos, who are very clearly male by three or four weeks. Nope! Ten weeks now and they're just starting to show comb growth.
