Morning all!

Yeah, I definitely won’t be taking up his offer for more eggs. It’s pretty clear that he just has a whole bunch of different kinds of poultry to sell with no real understanding of what any of it is.

They’re super sweet ducks, so I’ll keep what I have, but I’m definitely disappointed that I really didn’t get any duck breeds that I originally wanted.

Easy solution, More ducks! :celebrate

@rjohns39 Thanks ;) The Netherlands
I loved the Netherlands when I visited. A beautiful place. And I was guessing Europe. :D
Good morning, afternoon and evening. It's great to have folks from around the world here. Happy ducking! And Tooshay those are definitely not splash. I would defer to @Pyxis as the expert but where I have seen splash is with blue Swedish and they end up being mostly white with a splash of color. All ducks are lovely, even those with sketchy beginings.
:frow Good morning Lisa, have a great day

:frow Good morning Tooshay, have a great day. They're still really cute.
Good Morning! Sorry Tooshay you didn’t get full breed but I think they have Runner in them. They really are pretty ducks. The little crested too.
:frow Good morning Patti, have a great day

Welcome Stipenvlerk!

That’s really cool that you’re from The Netherlands. It’s always fun to learn about what kinds of breeds are popular in different parts of the world.

there are different breeds popular here. You can find loads of Muscovy and runnerducks and als Peking’s are popular for a long time. My grandpa en ma had a farm with Peking’s already. There are also some smaller groups who favor a particular duck. Like the old Dutch call duck (which I own and love too) and even a smaller amount of ducks who were common in the past but now quite rare. For instance ‘the Eenden van Vorst’ which I love! They are so beautiful. But didn’t own yet. I know one hobby breeder who has them but they are so rare it’s hard to get offspring and keep the bloodline healthy too...This is my first time with Cayuga’s but they seem to be very likeable. Which breed is your favorite?

That's so neat! Here in Florida it seems like a lot of people have Muscovy as well. They're also in a lot of public parks and ponds around here, we see them everywhere! I looked into them originally but was a little intimidated by them. Cayugas are so pretty. I love how iridescent their feather are.

My favorite duck breed has to be the welsh harlequin. And I say this never having owned any. 😂 But they're just very majestic looking. One day I'll have a couple.

Do you think it's weird that this guy took my pictures of questionable ducks and put them up on his page as a success story? I wouldn't necessarily call it that, but alrighty...

For me they are also a bit intimidating (Muscovy)
Wow! the harlequins do look majestic indeed! Beautiful ducks. Didn’t know them
