Is it possible for a cold compress for a hard bump?
If it is infection then heat compress to help it express?

Yes it does and it's grown a lot since this morning.

Is it warm? If it feels warmer than than normal, and is very soft. drain it by just cutting the skin to relieve the pressure. Use a razor knife, exacto blade, something very sharp and just cut the skin. You will not hurt the bird.

could do either, the little guy was first born and I carried him around for the first 24 hours so he loves me. The scratch has healed over so no where for anything to come out.

I wouldn’t cut into yet! @Isaac 0 @casportpony any ideas on what this could be? I remember once @Iain Utah gad a gosling hatch with fluid in the head area it was absorbed after a few day I believe.

I think the scratch might be infected, but the surface scabbed over, causing an abscess. Just a small cut will drain it.
