I think they are just pits wrapped in skin . For pickles, tomatoes and tomato juice or any acid base, I waterbath. I have a huge pressure canner and was going to can green beans but it's so heavy and pressure canning takes so long, I took the cowards way out and froze them.

Ok guys, my last three batches of ducklings, never left the brooder. I felt lucky as I usually have an escapee. Watching t v last night and my duckling hatched Wed, yes 36 hours old, hop s up on the heat cave, leaps the 6inches from the heat cave over the side of the brooder and comes waddling out of the kitchen on to the porch to see me. Not 2 days old yet. I'm really in for it. Why would less than two day olds be so desperate to escape the brooder? there's are pretty imprinted on me but that's ridiculous. But also very cute.
And all the functions are grayed out for me so I can't add any emoticons. Did I do something wrong?

If you press the cog it should work again. I don't know if everyone calls them cogs so I circled it
