Sorry, but we're there leftovers? If not, not a hawk. Here my main problem is coyote. Could it be dingo? As an ugly american, or course that's what I would suggest. Unless your hawks are Huge.
No sign of her, not even a feather. Our hawks are quite big. Dingos only up the top end, none down here. Actually on googling our "hawks" they seem to be known world wide as a black kite. Other option is a wedge tail eagle but... who knows. A fox would have left a mess
 
I hope the second option. Hawks here are quite small, they roll them over and eat the tasty bits and leave the rest. To dissapear, it would take an eagle or an owl. I have barred owls which are quite large but. Nocturnal . My day predators are coyote and bobcat.I both love and hate all the wildlife here. I think the beavers may be back.
