It's crazy how quick they turn it brown! I found my muscovies to be the cleanest of all my duckys, but yeah... still mucky. I often wonder why I don't just have chickens and then summer comes and I remember . Are they healing well?

Yes, they are still timid after the attack, but much more active now. Once the girls start to lay again, that will likely show up any residual damage, so I hope that goes well for them.

Thank You! I am 45 today! Getting 33 ducklings today now I have 100+ ducks.

It's a work day here, and I really feel like having a bit more weekend to get a little further on with my "to do" list. I hope your day is as productive or as restful as you want it to be.

Today has been a wonderfully lazy day and tomorrow is holiday for us, so I'll try to be productive then.

You are very lucky! Dad had a claw go through his calf muscle when I was little, it was so deep they couldn't stitch it, and he had to be on crutches for months. Try chucking a soccer ball or something in there for him to chase. He'll love it and hopefully stay put while you repair. He probably hasn't had the hands on bonding like Ciara has.

There are people here with emus. I haven't had the opportunity to taste the meat yet.
