We are having weird weather.

It snowed about a week ago. Typical weather for this time of year. Then, for no reason, the weather decided to go back to 'early Fall'. It's been in the low to mid 70s for a week. I'm wearing a short sleeved shirt. It is raining right now and not snowing. It is the middle of November. This is decidedly not normal. Climate change, sigh.

Now you'd think I wouldn't complain about warmer weather, but this type of thing is why this year we had flies worse than we've ever had them, and mice and rats worse than ever too. There are rats in my workshop. That has never happened. I've been trying to get rid of them without poison, but no dice, so unfortunately, poison it will have to be.

Positive note, look what I got in the mail today:

I'm especially happy about the red cock. I've been wanting to get some reds for awhile. The color is rich and deep and gorgeous. And it took him all of five minutes of settling in to start displaying for the ladies, haha.

X2
Good morning 🙂 you must be getting more rain than we are, ours keeps stopping 😞
Nonstop rain since 2am, heavier from time to time, but non-stop. If i'm not mistaken, the meteorologists call that »training«, the rain-pockets are travelling above us one after the other, like a freight-train, assembled out of leaking tanker waggons…

I just fell off the stairs and sprained and/or broke my foot. Gotta wait for the radiologist to take a look at the x-rays tomorrow to know for sure.

I did not expect my night to go this way, lol.
O M G !!
Why are you waiting until tomorrow? Any emergency room or urgent care clinic should have an X-ray and a radiologist on stand-by. If it is in fact broken, any delay will make reconstructive surgery more difficult due to swelling of the tissue and recovery will take longer and is more painful…
What happened? How did you fell of the stairs? - 2020 has been a total disaster, can't wait until its 2021! I guess i will buy one of these for me and the ducks:

I went to the doctor and got it x-rayed. I guess the radiologist can't take a look at it until tomorrow. The doctor said that she herself doesn't think the foot is broken, based on the x-ray. But, there's some weird stuff going on in the ankle, which could either be from the time I sprained it in high school, or it might be a bone chip. So she said to just keep my weight off it until tomorrow.

As to what happened, I don't know. Heck, my brother saw it happen and he doesn't know either. One second I'm walking down the stairs, the next, I'm falling right off them, missed three stairs on the way down, and then landed on the floor. My feet got caught under me and bent back. My other foot is also painful, but not like my left one is.

After I crawled myself to the couch, I actually laughed out loud because it was so ridiculous. I just...fell, for no discernable reason.
