Yep, did you read about our camel? Anything that escapes here just seems to thrive and take over. Up north there's people that professionally catch wild bulls for a living. And then in QLD we have the dreaded cane toad. People taxidermy them and dress them up, and turn them into coin purses. And of course foxes, wild dogs and rabbit. Hence the rabbit proof fence. And wild dog fence. Apparently we fix our problems with fences
I saw you had camels I don’t know there story, I will have to look it up.

I would love to be a professional bull catcher. I have plenty ammo for catching them. Free BBQ!!!

I know about cane toads. I spent 7 months on Maui, they were a pain.

I could use a rabbit proof fence, but here they just dig under them.

If you knew how much they sell them for you'd happily catch them alive. But I do think they dress 1 or 2 for their meat while they are there

Ok today was really weird. Somebody drove through my back gate and destroyed it. But the scary part is they came back three times afterwards and ran if we went to confront them. Two times with us and one with our neighbor. Think I might sleep with the AR tonight. Been here 10 years never had anything like this. Why do they keep coming back. One of the men got out of the car and waived at me before running away. I fell like I'm in a Stephen King novel.

people are nuts! Wonder if they were on drugs?

This time of the year, but it can still kill you if you don’t understand the swamp. It’s a floating bog, so if you step somewhere there isn’t tree roots you will find yourself floating under the bog, only to be dug up in 50,000 years by a peat mining corporation.

If it was summer there is nothing to worry about from the bog because the foot long mosquitoes would suck you dry of blood before you got to the bog.

What @rjohns39 said is true about how thick the underbrush is and how tight the deer will sit as you walk by them. You need to almost step on them to see them.
So the same mosquitos in Minnesota as in Texas? - I remember the mosquitos in Texas were so large, they had their own ticks!
:lau 😜
Everything's bigger in Texas!
