What kind of black licorice do you have over there? This stuff:

Is not really licorice! Those taste like gelatinated cough drops. I need the real stuff, like this:

Dubbelzout means double salt: It contains ordinary salt plus Salmiak (Ammoniumchloride), is bad for your A1c values but i love that stuff!

I am a black licorice connoisseur, I eat it all.

I have never seen the stuff you posted. It must be Southie licorice.

I'm not sure of the number. It's not a ton, I just haven't counted, lol. Under 20, I'm sure.

I LOVE their temperament. They're feisty and outgoing, and very friendly with people. But they are game, so they're not great with being introduced to new birds.
I will have to get a photo of the little game roosters everyone seems to have big hoards of over here. They just roam free and sleep in the trees but they are so tiny! I think they use them like guinea fowl and they alert when there's foxes and snakes. I love the personalities of the games I've met

So apparently you can get dutch licorice here. Looks similar to second image of yours. Licorice coins? But darrell lea is our iconic licorice. And I screen shot the google description of our licorice. Unsure if its written by an honest Australian or a sassy American

I was going to send the one about the guy that died from eating it but I saw someone already attached it. Seems if you too much you have a heart attack.

Also today was my DH birthday and he wanted to go to Snows BBQ. 1:45 drive each way and we had to stand in line 4 hours in a cold thunderstorm. I still can't feel my feet. The only seating was outside so we brought it back home. We left at 6 am and just got back. Hope he enjoys his birthday cause I'm never doing that again. Supposed to be best in the world.

Lisa, I haven't been there, but if I'm not mistaken, his pit master used to be in San Antonio. Or close by. I haven't been to Texas since probably 93... But she really does look like the person I met in 86. If so, it's really really good BBQ, but mine's better in IMHO. :gig

Hillbilly, I sooooo miss the candies available in Europe. Packed full of flavor. I really miss the chocolates from the Danish court. Yum :drool
