Just when you start to think you know something about hatching. So I took my neighbor an 18 pack to eat as I was getting over run with eggs. They had Benn in the fridge for over a week. Today I got pictures of little ducklings. Go figure. Hardy little things.
Ducklings are tough as nails! - Especially the Barnyard Surprise version.

My »Barnyard Surprise« ducks are by far the most healthy and fittest ducks of the flock. Even the two crested drakes go strong and shove their father (Erpelchen) out of the way when it comes to mating. And Misty Duck is almost as tall as LeRoy Brown Drake and cheeky. Always testing her limits.
Mice-problem when you have ducks? - I would borrow you Blanca, but on the way in there will be a problem with the immigration and on the way out she would be too heavy for any airplane or cargo-ship. She loves her mice crunchy! :sick
I have a Rubbermaid-tote with three street-elbows as feeding ports in the run and a 50lbs bag of pellets lasts for a little more than a week. But i don't know if that would work with Pekin ducks - assuming you don't want them to fatten up quickly and slaughter them at three months.
Thats roughly the size bag my flock is eating a week. How many do you have? I have never seen evidence of mice in their run so the jury is still out on them eating the feed. But we have the biggest mouse plague in about 20years so its possible... maybe the ducks need to eat all those pellets to help digest all the mice 🤔
