Yes, right! If i remember correctly with Ostrich and Emu the males are raising the babies!

I was busy with my wattle-fence project again today, had no time therefore to say "hi" here.

The daddys do yes. But occasionally you'd find the odd helicopter mum emu help the dad raise the chicks or in one case completely replace the father because he died. I'm pretty sure this is just a captive senerio though and wild emus have far better things to do then spy on their baby daddys and make sure they are doing a good job
