68ml overnight (85ml in 24hrs) and the house yard is flooded. The levy did a great job holding it all in. I had to rescue the basset from eye deep (on her) water and we lost 5 quail chicks. Before I'm roused on they were on the highest point of yard that NEVER gets wet... Anyway. 1 baby alive and well, 2 fighting for life under heat lamp and the adults are enjoying being house pets

Good Morning, Day, Afternoon, Evening or Night to Everybody on the beautiful Blue Marble Planet! 🌎

Gray blanket over West Virginia today, but at least it is not cold and no frost is in the forecast for the rest of spring. (Never trust the weather forecast!)
Drove to the seed-store yesterday and bought seed onions, potatoes and duck-resistant grass-seeds. Not sure what is duck-resistant there: The seeds, the grass, for sure not the paper bag. Blanca Duck just said »Bring it on, Humon!«

Evening all.

Wishbone the BB White turkey seems to have some sort of foot injury. Of course I can't really look at it because she's roughly 40 pounds and doesn't want me to. If it's bumblefoot I have no idea how I'll be able to do the surgery.

I guess I'm gonna try antibiotics first and see if that helps.

Is wrapping her into a towel an option? - I had to do that wit Bazilla Duck the first two times for her bumble-foot treatment before she understood that i was actually taking the pain away from her.
Well of course she had only ~4 Kg (9lbs)

At 40 pounds it is most likely the ankle and knees giving out. I have seen it on some of the BB’s I raised. It looks like bumble foot but it’s just the joints deteriorating.

I would avoid any antibiotics, unless you won’t eat her under any circumstance.
