There is a dish in Germany, called "Kartoffelpuffer", "Reibekuchen" or (in my area) "Rieevkooche" - translates to something like potato fritters, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potato_pancake which look like this:

Those are usually eaten with apple-sauce, sugar or jam. Sweet and salty (and fatty), delicious. Those hash-patties are the closest one can buy here in the US.
If you like the combination of salty and sweet, give it a try...

OMG Potato Pancakes with apple sauce on them are so good! We use to eat them when I was young. I need to make them again!

No idea, I got him like that on the weekend. It might be natural moulting, or he was picked on by the other roosters he was with before I got him.

Probably normal molt both my roosters are missing their beautiful tail feathers right now because of molt. They have the nickname stumpy.

His feathers are a bit tattered, and he's missing all his tail, but he's a blue-laced red Wyandotte. And he loves to crow!!!

On another note, the baby bunnies are doing great!

The Ducknagers wanted out at 4am this morning!
And they were loudly protesting when i did not open their makeshift pen.
They were pecking at the cardboard boxes, spilling their water and created a mess with their food. Cleaned everything yesterday and now i have to clean up again...

OMG Potato Pancakes with apple sauce on them are so good! We use to eat them when I was young. I need to make them again!

My dad used to eat them sprinkled with brown sugar, i like them with strawberry or cherry-jam - yes and apple-sauce.

I seem to have finally cleared up Eileens eye infection. I think the injury was caused by an enthusiastic drake. Probably the one with no penis as he just doesn't get that no matter how hard he tries nothings going to come out. She seems to have no sight in that eye as she doesn't move at all until I touch the eye with the cream. I'm not worried about the loss of sight, shell do fine, but I am a bit worried that her inner eyelid was apparently torn off. I'm wondering if I have to keep lubrication on her eye always to keep it from drying out. Anybody had this?
