My yard currently looks like a massacre in a pillow factory!

Same here! - Not only are my grown-up duck's molting, the little ones are shedding their duckling down too…

ALL of them are moulting! The Muscovy, the other ducks, the chickens! Feathers EVERYWHERE!

Here too! - With all the stuff sticking to the wet ground, decomposing and smelling. Did not know that feathers smell fishy when they decompose.

Short week! Almost Friday again.​

The broodies have begun. My eldest knows I am not happy with his OEGs. The offender has only laid 2 eggs herself but found a nice clutch in a high traffic nesting box. I have a wyandotte hen who senses others broodieness, so she turns an entire flock broody overnight. She may be coming to live by the house for awhile. I don't want chicks this early in the year

Don't know HOW but the baby bunnies got out!!! I really need to fix these old hutches...

Spent two hours clearing up woodpiles and making little runs to block them in. Finally got the last one. Now I have a headache. >.<

On a funnier note, I tossed a cabbage core out to the ducks. Mist grabbed it and RAN! The whole flock went after him. HILARIOUS!

We are in the mountains too just much further south than you. lol
Oh my good thing you got all the baby bunnies back safe and secure.
I love it when one of the ducks or chickens grabs something tasty and the whole flock starts chasing them. So funny

Yes, they do that! There was once a dead mouse that was passed on from Blanca Duck (who caught the mouse) to Bazilla Duck, to Earthquack and back to Blanca who finally managed to devour it whole…
It is hilarious to watch.

I swear, between the rabbits, the ducks, and a blind chicken, I'm going to have to start drinking! Time for tea!

You have a blind chicken? One of my Muscovy is blind in one eye(hawk). I can’t imagine . Do you have her set up so she knows her way around with out getting lost or eaten?
