At least you have a washing machine! - Our's broke down on Friday and today i discovered that our dishwasher is leaking water under the kitchen cabinets.
And i'm sure, the washer isn't actually broken, it will be just one of these "sophisticated" sensors telling the washer that gravity has seized to exist and therefore it cannot wash anymore…

Oh yes that wobbled itself off balance by a fraction of a hair so now the washer can not safely wash issue. It's the machines own fault for thinking it's a jet on an airoplane everytime it reaches the spin cycle

Well, if your new neighbor has five cats, there won't be many mice…
Depending on your chickens, that can be a bad or a good thing. Blanca Duck would not be too happy having the cats eating her mice.

Oh no, they are my five cats. I don't know how neighbours will feel about them, they have no cats

I have sworn to myself that, if i am unable to fix the dishwasher myself, i will buy the cheapest dishwasher i can find at the big-biox stores and use that one. We paid >600$ just four years ago for a brand-name appliance and i would have to pay $170 just for the techno guy to come out here and have a look…
All the modern electronics with sensors and stuff makes the appliances more prone to breaking down. Same with our cars…

Well, they should consider themselves happy that:

1. Your chickens will eat all those pesky bugs and mosquitos
2. Your cats will take care of all pesky rodents

You will have lucky and happy neighbors.

Until one of your cats will raid the breakfast table and your rooster poops on the steering wheel of the neighbors open convertible…

I would hope so but Australia is a funny place, alot of people do not like cats
