I think the hatch is over. I am trying to figure out what we did wrong to only get a 30% hatch rate. Duckling number 4 is brown with yellow wingtips . @Magnolia Ducks could that be a Bandit/ Piper or Pepper duckling ?

Yes, it probably is. Ring neck is common in pipers line.

Its that Nurture Right incubator. I get 100% with the Brinsea but only about 50% with that one. I'm sorry I bought it. I should have just paid more for a bigger Brinsea.

Just returned from H&R Block where i have filed my 2022 tax-return, so with that out of the way i can now focus on digging plenty of seeds into the garden. - We had (hopefully) our last cold night here with 1°(34F), no more frost and temperatures approaching 30° (86F) in the upcoming week with plenty of sunshine!

Saw the foxes again this morning. One of them was carrying a big bird, couldn't tell if it was somebody's chicken or something wild. Will definitely have to keep my ducks supervised. Fortunately, the snow is melting fast enough to do some work in the yard. Should be a nice day!

You need to show those robbers that they're not welcome. A rifle shot or even a well thrown firecracker should be a strong message.

I'm not tempted. I will offer asylum for every dumped/abandoned duck that i spot or somehow crosses my way. On the way back from tax-hell, i have already checked out one of the state-parks. No dumped duck(ling)s, but it is just the easter weekend and these cute yellow fluffballs have not turned into weapons of mass poopifications yet…
