I can understand your wife 100%! - As for the poop jar, i stored it in the shed outside, the poop has dried up and doesn't smell anymore. Let your wife feed the ducklings with handfuls of meal-worms while they sit in her lap. That'll cure her for sure!@WannaBeHillBilly do you have your duck poop jar handy ? My wife does not want to let these go.
Having zero experience with hatching eggs i can only say sorry to hear about your bad-luck.Good morning.
No, didn't work yesterday. Just been on a roller-coaster all weekend with this hatch. Only three and a half (one still in shell, but alive) hatched out of 30. Two perfectly formed chicks DIS after pipping.
I'm thinking the power outage may have been the cause, yes. But, I 'float-tested' the remaining eggs this morning, and they seem to still be viable? So, back in the incubator they went. I'm going to give them a bit more time.Having zero experience with hatching eggs i can only say sorry to hear about your bad-luck.
Maybe it was the power-outage? Or maybe not? Too little or too much humidity? Stray Alpha particles?
Just don't let that stop you from trying again in the future.![]()
