They are okay with my father because they know him, so he tends to do their care if I can't for some reason. They would probably be okay with others, but I don't let strangers go in without me. As long as I am in there, I can bring anyone else in and they are fine with them 
 
Hens lay up to 60 eggs in a breeding season. They lay in winter, so I have to take the eggs and incubate them myself so they don't freeze. Incubation time varies, but it's usually between 49 and 60 days.
By the wings, believe it or not. Then you walk directly behind them, because they can't kick straight backwards, and kind of 'walk' them forward.
