Well Thank You! - They should already have joined the other's in the duck house, but i wasn't able to clean out the thick layer of bedding so far. I don't want them to have a bad first impression… 😳
Working on moving the three month old compost away from the duck house's poop-door this week, so that there is enough room for some feet of "fresh" soiled straw…
You are most welcome Frank.

Makes me think twice if i really want geese. - You got them as adults, right?
Maybe it is different if they are raised together with a flock of ducks?

They were presumably 4 months old (May's babies).

It sounds entirely sensible that if they grew up together there would be less confrontation. But I was so sad about ducks getting bullied so I'm not about to try anything new at least until spring. First we have to pass the real test of resolve and practicality - getting the flock through winter in good shape without any birds or humans freaking out.

I'm sorry. I love my geese. I raised them in my kitchen For 4 weeks and then put them in with my 8 week old runners. They still flock with the runners. I know ill have to separate them in spring. But they are very social with me compared to the ducks. lenny is still fascinated with my bra. I sit on the porch and he quietly sneaks up behind me and snap!
