Update on Chaos and Mayhem:
They spent most of last week outside with the other ducks at the pond and around the house, returning to their duck-dad every evening. Here they are together with Blanca Duck at the pond:
Then Friday to Saturday was their last night inside of the Humon's house, here they are sitting under my office-chair:

Saturday evening Mayhem ran into the duck-house together with the other ducks, while Chaos was hesitent, walking in and back out, not sure where to go. I tole her that i would not be mad at her if she prefers to sleep with all her new friends and relieved, she walked into the duck-house.
Since then they both spent their days at the pond, enjoying the last warm days here in West Virginia...
Chaos, waiting for her brother at the rim of the pond:

I am so glad to see Milka Duck doing so much better. Your setup for them is great and they love that pond which I don't blame them. Thanks for sharing Frank. I love watching ducks.

That's pretty much the same as we have here in WV. Including the weird exceptions of the last years, like snow-showers in early May almost killing off the tomato-plants and this weird last week of October, where we are around 10°(50F) during the night and more than 20°(68F) during the day. I need to turn my patio back into a greenhouse/sunroom by the end of the week, the first overnight frost is predicted for November 1st.

We have already had a hit of -1 C overnight a couple of days ago and then back to +15 C, also during the night (strangely warm) - a little demonstration just to prevent me from collecting another round of beans. Normally hard frost comes in November, so yes, very similar to your situation.

No, this is not what y'all think it is❗❗

I made some great progress with winterizing the patio: Double shower-liners over the screens and tarps in front of the walls and on the floor, covered by outdoor-rugs should keep the patio much warmer than last Winter. And with a couple of LED shop-lights it al;most feels like summer inside. I will put a recliner smack in the middle of the plants.
