I am trying to rescue as many plants as i can and i have pots and room for. I didn't know that peppers are perennial and that older plants yield a much larger harvest.
So what i can safe, i don't have to grow from seeds next spring.
And maybe the plants like my patio so much that they produce during the Winter, the ducks would be so happy!

Do your ducks eat peppers Frank? We have had some before but I never tried giving any to the ducks. We had the very small long red ones so I don't know if they would even like something like that.

Sorry Frank, I didn't know if you were wanting pictures of the skeletons all over in the yard on my bus route or the peppers? Either way I don't know how to do them and the peppers are all gone.

They dig into the ground so they are fully protected by spikes when they feel threatened like this one, there is no budging them when they do. They thankfully can't throw their quills, they would be deadly if they could! Doesn't America have porkie pines that shoot quills?

Yes, there are Porcupines [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porcupine] and no, they won't shoot their quills either.
The myth of the »shooting quills« probably comes from the fact that those quills break off very easy, are barbed and therefore dig themselves deeper and deeper into the flesh with every movement of the unlucky victim. Cruel stuff…

My ducks die for Peppers! They love Peppers even more than Tomatoes!
And the reasons why i am trying to grow as many hot peppers as i can are:
Hot peppers are much hardier than the bell peppers, they tolerate shade, drought, being flooded, nibbled on by deer and even frost much better than the bell pepper.
Hot peppers have a higher yield (in weight) than Bell peppers. I have some Thai-Pepper plants that looked like beans. - Until the "beans" turned fiery red...
Her comes the best: Birds don't taste the hotness, they have no sensors for capsaicin. But the parasites, living in their intestines do have sensors for that stuff! And they all come out in pain. Hot Peppers are the best de-worming medication there is. And its all natural and the birds love it and they like you for giving them that yummy stuff.

It was all Halloween stuff but looks very real. Skeleton of a fish and dog along with the duck, they really go crazy with it and have a whole front yard of the skeletons. I just don't know where in the world they store it all as they do this every year.

I had read that pumpkin seeds get rid of parasites also in ducks so I have been adding some I got off of Amazon with no salt or flavoring, just good old plain pumpkin seeds that are small and green. I don't know if it is true or not but I have been giving it to them occasionally.

I wasn't able to make any pictures or videos either, just too busy on the patio, so much clutter than needs to go or stored somewhere…
But i have finally manged to upload a video from Monday: Laura Duck has made friends with Chaos and Mayhem. Though Mayhem is a bit jealous, as he is still a drakeling and does not understand what ducks may do for him…
The trio is enjoying some cat-foot and meal-worm snacks in the duck-yard:

I am not sure if i imagine that, but Laura's butt looks a bit tilted to the left?

Oh, and before i forget, Butt Light Duck is back. Once again she looks like somebody has shaven her rump feathers off. I will try to make some pictures of her tomorrow.
