Funny Frank that you have Rural Queen there and we have Rural King here or are you being funny. Our Rural King sells ducklings and chicks almost year round unless it is near the Holidays and no one will be in the store to care for them. Does yours?
Same store here, but i like to make fun of company names and slogans. We also have Burger Queen, Mac Dumbos, Wells Fart-go and a lot of other funny companies where i live…

Wow those two different scenarios are amazing. If we only knew everything we put in our bodies we might not eat a lot of the things that we do. Funny how it is so good for the 4 legged creatures but I agree, I would not want my birds to eat it either.
Yes when I looked up feeding ducks Catfish pond food it said that it would not meet all of the nutritional needs of a duck. It also said it would keep them from growing and could weaken them since they are not being fed properly. I guess an occasional snack wouldn't hurt but I would never give it to them instead of their regular duck feed.

There is a thing called crampons - that even has made it into the Wokepedia...
I like it when mud flat freezes solid. Hundreds of tiny little triangular duck footprints have created a very grippy surface. I always slip on the mud and then sometimes i won't be able to get back up again because my hands slip too, so i roll downhill sideways and in the end look like the mud-monster, here's an actual picture of me trying to escape the duck-yard after a heavy shower:
Yeah, I was looking at some a couple of weeks ago, but it's unfortunately not in the budget this season. Hopefully my application for disability benefits get processed and approved soon, but it may take until April before I hear back from them.

As for the catfish-feed front: Of course my duck's main food are the layer-pellets! The scratch grain, cat-food, BOSS and now the new catfish-feed is just treats. - But with more than 50 ducks and an ever increasing number of Mallards even the treats cut a hole into the wallet…
And by the way, look at the ingredients of your main poultry feed, here's mine:

As you can see Cobold-Sulfate is listed here as well, also Copper-Sulfate which is deadly if swallowed in grams. The amount makes the difference between an essential, a medicine or a poison. If you eat three tablespoons of Sodium-Chloride and are able to keep that down you're dead! Not talking about ingesting too much Dihydrogenmonoxide…
I just love the fact that the fish-feed contains even more protein and a lot of niacine, which is important especially for ducks.

And here's the list for my scratch-grain:

Now don't get started that oats should only be fed to Horses…
The duck squad will quack you deaf! 😂

Trust your and your pet's bodies, the digestive system has been constructed in a way the it will extract what is needed for the body and the excess is discarded. Works just fine, except for sugar and fat… 😳

Hey.. my Sis and Bil don't feed their ducks anything but dog food. . But They do free range all day.

They seem fine and dandy to me. They have less sickness and fatalities than I do and i buy the high dollar stuff. 💁🏼‍♀️
