I pray that Blanca Duck makes it alright.

Thankfully all of mine finally got through their molt but boy was it weird to have both ducks and chickens molting in December never happened before.
Hopefully, Hillbilly can make a nice comfy sweater for Blanca Duck or a down jacket.

Mine also were molting at strange times but are all done for now which I am glad about. I think the weather pattern being sort of crazy has thrown them off. I am still getting eggs daily and got 4 today. Last year they had quit by now.

Maybe you should try that too: Grab a ladder, climb up and sit down on the roof. Who knows, maybe they have discovered an exciting view?

Actually, while living in Houston we were sitting on the roof of the house shortly before midnight on December 31st to watch the fireworks.

Greedy Girl: Today she forced half of her body into the treats-can while i was holding it, so that neither i could get my hand inside to feed the others, nor would any other neck fit through the opening.
I'm not sure, can it be that the large amount of protein she consumes has triggered that moult?
She is picking up the catfish-feed and the cat-food so fast that it looks like she has multiple necks and heads.

-4° (24.8 F) over night. Everybody was sweating profoundly…

Isn't that crazy? - You live just an hour (by car) north-east of me..

Thank you very much! - I am more worried about Winter not standing a chance against Blanca Duck. She has eaten larger things already…

You are most welcome. I know you love Blanca Duck and I would hate to see anything happen to any ones ducks. Winter seems to be hard on some of them even though the summer heat is usually the worse.
