I love mine too but I don't like when the back end wants to meet the front end of our truck that is when hubby has to stop and let me out and I walk the rest of the way home or up to the road to meet him.
Sounds like me, coming home this afternoon: The county has finally plowed our road and dumped over a foot of snow on the bridge, so i had to put the pedal to the metal and hope the skid plates would be harder than the snow-bank... then keep the leg straight to get over the steepest part that had iced over again.
Forgot to mention the 50lbs of urea that will be sprinkled on the driveway after the next winter-storm is done here.

The calls have survived the northie weather that came here in their Amazon ghetto pen. I was worried. I can't wait for winter to be over so we can build a proper barn. I really miss my duck palace. But they all sure do enjoy being able to have free range time so at least there's that. And it has been cool i can let them out all together without issues.

Looks nice and cozy ♥️

Heck!

I almost forgot the most important news of the day!

The dux are back in the dux-house! Finally the pond froze over completely this afternoon. So i came back from town, saw them sitting beside the pond and deployed my secret dux herding weapon: An 8' long furring strip with a scary green plastic bag attached on one end…
Herding them back into their house was actually somewhat unexciting, it was more like they were waiting for somebody to take the initiative to lead them back downhill. Of course several stops to warm up their feet were required - it was lousy cold here during the day, the wind was blowing persistently, it was just awful. Here they are, running voluntarily into their house:
