How to they react to flying drones? I happened to send one near grazing ducks and they were not impressed at all, raised the alarm and fled.
You're thinking in the same direction as i do. That little thing below is currently in some port in China or maybe already on a cargo ship:

I paid just $15 for this…

We just got back! - Update on Blanca Duck's Veterinarian: He is still alive!

I released El Chapo Duckman into the duck-yard, grabbed Blanca and sat her down in a laundry basket, she pooped and flew out. Set her in again and placed a milk-cloth over the basket, she ripped that off and flew out again, so i grabbed her, set her back in the basket and clipped the milk-cloth to the rim of the basket. - Angry, deafening QUACKS!

After biting me, the assistant and the doctor, she received a thorough exam of both legs, her hip and her spine look fine. Nothing wrong with her tendons.
Guess what happened when the vet sat her on the floor: She ran away using both legs almost perfectly and hid under the bench in the exam-room:
full

Dr. Patton agrees that this is most likely some nerve-damage that will get better and better over time. I should not wrap Blanca's ankle or foot because that might prompt her to keep the leg backwards and not put any weight on it. Just continue with the meal-worm supported physical-therapy in the bath-tub and Vitamin-B. Maybe encourage and help her to walk on both legs correctly. [That means regrowing lots of fingers...]

Just had this idea: At the moment the dux will stay in the duck-yard, maybe i can put Blanca into the duxling-box, so she can be with her friends, but none of the already rowdy drakes will be able to get to her. That's the forecast for tomorrow:

I'm sure she will like that.

Good to hear! You'll probably need him again in the future! 🤣

Time to get a pet carrier.

Of course! Pain is always forgotten when stress/fear appears! Or, she was just being Blanca Duck.

And a very fat duck from all the mealworms.

Can you send that this way, please? I'm assuming this is in C(ivilized) degrees. ;)

Glad to hear he didn't find anything serious. Hopefully those nerves heal up. Keep her in a crate where she can't move about too much, and buy a good set of noise-deafening ear protectors (the kind they use around loud explosions). :lau

Is somebody here on BYC compiling a list of Veterinarians that do see poultry?
I like to add:

to that list. Dr. Patton is an expert for poultry and has saved Iris' vision last year and endured Blanca Duck today.
I don't know if one but I will start one now. Thanks!

I check the ducks several times a day. I have 8 hens left. So go up today and count 7 several times I look under the tree, under the bushes in their coop. Still 7. There is a warm egg in the yard that the crows are eating. I assume she was grabbed by a predator and pooped out an egg in fear. I go back to check them again and make them some peas. When I start feeding peas I have 8 ducks again. Its a mystery where she was hiding.
