@Luv Ducks - How is the situation in Ohio? - It looked like you were drowned in fresh wet snow overnight…
Yes we got about 4 inches and that was a real surprise. Some of it is melting with our sunshine today and it will be in the 50's this week so it will leave us soon. Only 15 F tonight though so that will make the roads that are wet refreeze. I will probably have to miss Church since I leave early for it. Did you get anything there? This was our first real snow of the winter that was actually deep. I just saw you video. My Ducks are out walking around in the snow and loving it. I don't think they mind it at all since they act like it's just a winter wonderland that we have been lacking almost all winter, lol.

@Canadian Wind - How are you doing? Your car got buried again?
That was a bad storm last night!
Nah, just a few inches of very light snow. It's the cold this week that's going to kill me!

I finally got the car dug out last weekend, and I'll be darned if I let it get stuck like that again. This year...

@Jenbirdee - Poppy's condition won't release my thought's…
That is a terrible sickness: https://extension.psu.edu/aspergillosis-in-poultry
Warning contains pictures of dissected poultry!

They say: »…There is no treatment available for commercial flocks. Cull the affected and remove contaminated litter. …«
At least commercial-flocks, but i do hope that Poppy does not have aspergillosis! :th
yes I been praying for Poppy . If I had enough money I would love to take her to vet. Presently we're on an extremely tight budget with zero vet allowance :(

this chart i used to diagnose Poppy. she doesn't have any other symptoms that would be any of the other respiratory things on here. Also I tried valbazen in case it was gapeworms and I gave her 5 days of Tylan 200 . and neither of those things helped.
its been since dec 7th i first noticed symptoms.
@WannaBeHillBilly thanks for your care and concern I truly appreciate you

My dux hate this weather! - Yes, they were out in the dux-yard to offer company to Blanca Duck and to drill for oil and gas, but as soon as th sun had set they all went back inside and quacked "Humon! Bring us a warm soup!". - Which their Humon Servant did…
I wanted to keep Blanca on the patio because of the conditions outside, but she insisted in going outside: She was sitting in front of the patio-door and quacked loud enough for the fire-department to show up, being alerted by my concerned neighbors… 😜
So i had to fortify the duxling box a bit:
full

She really enjoyed her day, watching the other dux get wet in the snow-showers.

I know what you're talking about! - I would have hesitated to cough up $180 for any duck, but it was the Blanca Duck. Even though everybody was bitten, scratched and hit by her, they all loved her at the animal-hospital. 🧡

A natural treatment for worms and all kinds of nasty parasites are hot peppers! - Seriously! The ducks (and all other birds) don't taste the Capsaicin, so they enjoy even the hottest peppers, worms on the other hand are being killed by that stuff. Its one of the examples where animals and plants greatly benefit from each other. The birds get a free meal and some natural medicine and help the pepper-plants to spread their seeds over a wide area. If Poppy likes to eat peppers, try some Jalapeños or Habañeros. Just be careful when you cut them up... 😭
Hot peppers are also great to deter wabbits, deer and raccoons.
