Ah, no. Was hoping for some trick or something, not physical work! LOL

I will trade you my forecast for yours! We're not out of freezing temps for a while. Monday is supposed to be -23 overnight.

How do you personally feel about possibly joining us, I am just curious what you folks think about that.

I was just curious, I would love to have you join us but I totally understand your feelings. I just thought it would be easier to get ducklings from you whenever I needed more, lol.

I’m bringing my ducks in from out back - to my basement addition side room / duck hospital room- where they can have water that doesn’t freeze and they can stay out of the wind for a few days starting Sunday - cuz MTW will be extra cold for us( single digits F) but my geese will be fine outside cuz I keep them close to the house. Easy for me to feed and water them. And my chickens have a nice run attached to their coop with heated water so they can stay out too. lol only ducks get spoiled

I want to move coops and enclosures closer to my trailer so I don't have to spend an hour outside freezing my butt off doing chores, but that would require moving the trailer! Not enough room up close to put up pens and stuff. Unless I cut down the forest behind me.

We will be sub zero 8 below on Tuesday night and 2 below F on Monday night. I pray that all of the ducks make it. They have shavings and 7 heated water buckets with plenty of shelter. I have no way of being able to bring them in with them being as big as they are. I just hope my older ones make it. At 2 below F they were fine before last winter but I have several new ones so time will tell.

This week we had global warming while we froze our butts off, next week is our Polar Vortex while we freeze not only our butts but the rest of our body along with it off! lol

It is bitterly cold here too Frank. We will get down to -8 and -6 F next week. We were spoiled by the last two mild winters. So far so good with the ducks but next week I am not sure how they will feel about it. They have plenty of warm water buckets, 7 for sure and lots of food and shelter so hopefully all will go well. Last year at 2 below F they were all fine. Funny when I leave for work in the early AM around 4:45 they don't tell me Goodbye when they are hunkered down staying warm, lol. Any other time they are squaking their heads off saying, hey, if you have to get up that early we'll make sure your neighbors do too!!! LOL

The last couple of days the daytime temps were above freezing while it was really cold during the night, so the snow has baked into a poop-sprinkled ice-sheet, an ice-shit!
The dux expect me to bring them a bucket of hot water and the BOSS/catfood/cracked corn breakfast into the house in the morning. They only come out in the afternoon when the sun is out.
