Update on my job interview from Monday: In a few words, they think that i am over-over-over qualified for a role as a simple Database Administrator. They fear that i would not be happy performing routine tasks on a daily base…

The Harlequins have arrived - 3 days from Brindisi, Italy due to a detour via Austria for some reason. Would have taken 2 days by bicycle

Since the fox attack our ducks are super disciplined... Often when I come to pack them up they are already inside, correctly sorted, or at the very least when they see a wobbly mobile light coming from the house they start going to bed.

I don't know how long this is going to last, my bet would be not very long , but let's enjoy it while it does.

11 eggs today from 13 ladies, now we're getting somewhere.

Since Mr. Laserpointer was recharged the Dux developed the good habit of leaving the pond shortly after sunset and come down to the house, waiting for their humon servant to serve dinner.
The nightly attack that happened last month was forgotten the next evening, but a red dot on the murky pond water is scary enough to change their habits.

12! Almost full production now. I guess one single duck having a break per day is as much as can be expected.

People lining up for hatching eggs, eating eggs, and young ducks. We're starting a duck craze over here

I would be happy to have health-insurance again.
And some basic income as my UB is running out mid May…
Somehow they just understood that my knowledge vastly outranks theirs and they got scared. They asked me technical questions, which i answered and added how i would do it better. Database stuff, how to optimize things…
