The Quack Shack

This is what my little Mallard hatches out also. I have learned after finding out that the hen determines the sex of the ducklings not to ever let her hatch anything out ever again. Out of 35 ducklings over the years, 33 drakes and 2 hens! My little Call Duck just gave me 2 hens that I hatched out this spring. I was so happy to see that she throws off what seems to be females. So sorry about your Cayuga. I managed to sell all of mine before they were sexed but contacted the owners later on to see what they turned out to be. I was lucky to be able to sell them all.
Frank how have you been???? It was great to see both you and Miss Lydia on here. I have not been on lately with work and all.

@WannaBeHillBilly have not seen you- how are you doing?
Finally i have five minutes to write up an answer…
I'm drowning in work, had to take on a second job on the weekends to make ends meet, so i am suffering from insane sleep deprivation but am looking forward to December, when the car's paid off.
And trying to keep up with this thread: Any new information about @Miss Lydia ?
I have lost too many of my favorite ducks to a Trash-Panda family this year, too many ducklings have disappeared and a lame drake - who is really sweet and a cuddle-monster - lives together with Fluffy and Erbse Duck in the new momma-duck shack.
Had to buy coni-bear 220's to get rid of the bandits, got all the plumbing issues fixed in the house and am looking forward to Erbse's ducklings, she is sitting on seven developing eggs.
Erbse is the last and smallest duckling that Sunny Sunshine hatched last spring on my patio. "Erbse" is the German word for "pea", she got this name because i was feeding her lot's of peas so she could catch up with her siblings. Now she is about to become a Momma-Duck.

Well i overslept his morning by 22 minutes, my little cuddle drake refused to eat his peas yesterday evening, my blood-sugar level is constantly over 400 and feel like i've been hit by multiple busses (All from just moving one wheelbarrow of soil this weekend and installing a new bathroom faucet)...
Just a typical Monday morning...

So sorry you lost so many. I had a trash panda actually dig up one that I had pass about a month ago from being I believe egg bound. By the time I figured it out it was too late. He dug her up and hauled her to a neighbors yard after she had been in the ground for a week! I have not had any get into my pens since I pray they are quite secure now. Lots of money invested but peace of mind knowing they are much safer now. I hope your new babies stay safe.

I think Miss Lydia finally got her internet back. I was so happy to see her on here and you too!!! My hubby was recently diagnosed with prediabetes and his number was 114. It has never gotten higher than that and when he watches everything he eats stays below 100. Wow Frank, 400! That sounds bad. I hope you can get your numbers to improve soon.
