I will add, they look quite content at your place. It should make you feel good. thank you for all you've done! If I lived near you, I'd take some!

I can't believe you got 40 pekins in a car! I've traveled with four runners in a car and thought that was difficult.

I don't live anywhere near MD, but to show support to an amazing person who'd help 40 ducks, if you like a pair of Duck shoes Puddle Foot, we'll send you a pair on the house! Just pm me.

I also think you should shovel up all the duck's poopy bedding and deliver it to the yard of the previous owners... Seems like a good idea to me

Ever seen 40 ducks in a SUV? This was taken by the good samaritan who caught the last duck and filmed/took pictures of the entire thing! He was great and emailed this to us.

The ducks are doing WONDERFULLY. They are working on getting clean and enjoy getting sprayed with the hose. They line up in front of us just so we can spray them.

It's SO CUTE! These will make great additions to any flock. Apparently, they are also good with chickens, because my chickens broke into their pen and were running around in the duck mass this morning.

They are now in a yard that we fenced off for them. I don't think they know to eat grass, but they ate nearly a half bag of food this morning.

One of the ducks seems to have an injury from getting bitten by something or stabbed.. I have NO IDEA, but we have to catch it later and see what's up. It's right on the top of its breast and looks like it's healing, but I want to clean the wound and figure out what happened. Everyone else seems to be in good health, though. Two of them have lighter bills, but I don't think this is an indication of anything? My ducks are young and have dark bills, so I wouldn't really know.

We are spreading the story to my mom's contacts at the Washington Post and a local news station. If neither of them run stories, we will go beyond that.. My mom used to be an editor for America's Most Wanted and now owns an organic store, so she always can pull some strings. I'm hoping we'll get this out there.

I'll talk that over with my mom.

Here is our adventure this morning.. Convincing the ducks to come out into their new yard. Please excuse the grossness of their pen.. They pooped everywhere and then soaked the floor.

I'm just about to go out and spread some hay in there or something to dry it up.

The ducks and the chickens.. They are separated now for quarantine purposes.

Well if ANY picture deserved the picture of the week, it would be yours. You are an angel for helping out those ducks, I would take some if I lived closer. I hope the media attention will bring you some good adoptive parents for them.

Don't worry about the poop in the picture, most of us know how much one duck can mess things up, but 40... oh my!

Wow! Amazing. The pic of the ducks in the SUV is priceless! You and your mom are special people. I hope you are able to find great homes for all the ducks you don't intend to keep.

I also think you should shovel up all the duck's poopy bedding and deliver it to the yard of the previous owners... Seems like a good idea to me

Nettie love your idea!

Man now i dont feel so crazy.. I only had four adult pekins in my apartment bath tub... Imagine if I walked in with 40.
