I would love to live more like your great grandparents! We've been saving up to do just that, but man is it expensive to get land and a start. :hmm Farming hasn't seemed to have been in my family for a good long while, but I've always been curious as well what my grandparents would have thought about relying so heavily on corporate/gov food systems if they had grown up with chickens and food gardens. I wonder as well what effects we'd see if more people grew their own food again?
We would have less people on computer websites.

Not sure that is true. X). Plenty of people offer their experience here who grow their own food. Good thing too!

Actually, yes. My mother (Who is mentally ill) married a man that murdered a woman in cold blood in CHURCH then sued his Public Defender for not trying to say that he was crazy at the time of the crime. This man (May God have mercy on his soul because I wouldn't) committed many horrid crimes and in essence got away with most of them.

There are psychopaths in every walk of life that will know just how to take advantage of the system. This only proves that the system needs to be fixed.

Absolutely true. People are very strange creatures, they can't truly be labeled one way or the other. The system in inherently flawed and it'll take a huge overhaul to even give it a semblance of competence in judging guilt or innocence.

My own uncle was an accessory to murder. He was involved in a murder that occurred in a church. It was a robbery gone bad, that ended with a Priest stabbed multiple times in the Church, who died during the attack. He got, I believe 25 years for his involvement.

Punk-a-doodle, I am also going to work towards living like my great grand parents! Land is so ridiculously expensive, and that cost alone is going to make it a struggle. As far as what people would be like if they grew their own food? I'd say healthier, happier, and much more independent.

I think each income level has its own unique set of problems. talk to any psychologist that treats the wealthy (I logged for one) and ask them what problems the wealthy deal with, I assure you their issues are as real as what the poor deal with.

Well, you both are entitled to your opinions, and so am I.
