Turkey fell off slaughter truck- Rescued but needs help!

I've never noticed a turkey's snood point upward like that. It looks firm. Anyone care to explain why?

For reference when we first rescued him it was like this:

It's a bit strange. His snood shrinks up and points up like that sometimes, but then it'll "go soft" and start hanging down.

... it's been the source of many inappropriate jokes with us lol

But I am curious because I've never seen one act like that before either.

Don't feel bad, I had many inappropriate comments before I found a nice (PC?) way to ask the question.

And his head will change colors from red, white and blue... Different colors represent different moods and the snood works on the same principle as your inappropriate commentary.
