If you all were going to sell fertile turkey eggs what is a price you go with? I was thinking $3 or $4 per egg. I have Bourbon Reds.

Like the Royal Palm, they are a smaller turkey than the other heritage varieties, but still quite edible.
Do you plan on selling eggs eventually? If so PM when you start because I would be very interested.
At this time, I only sell hatched poults.
Do you ship them?

I find that on BYC most people will not pay more than $3 per egg plus shipping. IT doesn't pay for the feed. So I am cutting back on my stock. . . .
Few buyers compared to chicken eggs, too.
Unfortunately especially on eBay there are many egg sellers that are illegally shipping eggs across state lines. Some of those people just don't know any better and do not make any attempt to learn what the laws are for the states that they are shipping eggs to. The minimum requirement for most states is either NPIP certification or a veterinary certificate of health of the flock. Some states also require the recipient to first get an import permit before bringing any hatching eggs into their state. I know that Texas is one of the states that requires an import permit.IT is very unfortunate that so many egg sellers are not reputable-- I value my reputation on BYC and always try to do right by my customers. But even I cant predict the smashed boxes by the USPS and to replace those eggs eats up more that the profit of the first batch. Shipped eggs are always a risk and those new to hatching are not fully aware of this.
I did have one customer hatch 7 out of 7 eggs this year!!! That record will stand for a long time. lol
Heard the hen talking-- she never talks. Pushed her aside enough to see 2 poults!! Of course other hen is off the eggs and those are getting cold-- I don't have much hopes for her eggs . . . .
I see the value in marking the successful hens. They are worth pots of gold. OR at least the electric bill to brood them!! lol
